Best
Buy’s store team sparked this idea, but I modified it greatly
to fit an affirming church. It’s simply a good way to help your
greeting team remember their priorities:
| Remember
to CARE:
CONNECT with
guests. Easy to forget. Share ideas among yourselves on how to
start good conversations.
ASK your guests questions about
themselves. Everybody likes to talk about themselves, if you show
genuine interest.
RELATE to their life in a credible,
meaningful way, introduce them to people with similar interests
or situation.
ENCOURAGE
(Affirm) them in their worth, identity, and purpose and that you’d
love to get to know them more. This sparks hope for the fulfillment
of what drew them to our church in the first place.
